I have never had a bad experience here. My family comes here at least twice a month. Without a doubt amazing customer service and amazing food. I suggest the fresh vegetable plate with chicken, the buffalo wings cheeseburgers and salads. Well pretty much everything is good. This is now my go to place anytime I want to have good food with some good music and good service.

I was in the area and one of my coworkers REALLY wanted to get lunch. I don't know much about the dining experience of Norco but when he recommended Black Horse Tavern, that was one of the 4-5 places I'd remembered reading about (thanks to my fellow Yelpers). So I was actually looking forward to trying it. Located off Hamner in the very back of a strip mall, I can't say the Black Horse Tavern sticks out. There is a sign on the plaza telling you where it is though. We came right before the lunch rush so we were sat immediately, got our menus and water. The menu has your typical burgers, sandwiches, pastas and yes, steak. They also have lunch and daily specials. I went with the San Francisco, which is basically a bacon cheeseburger on garlic Parmesan toast. It was huge and perfectly cooked. The fries were hot and slightly crispy. I would definitely get this again. Service was friendly and lots of locals started to pack the place as we were leaving. The best thing about The Black Horse Tavern & Grill is I would definitely return. They had plenty of items on their menu I'd definitely like to try. Service was friendly, the food was tasty and I didn't have to wait forever for it. Highly recommended!

I have been to Black Horse three times within the past month. I come into the Riverside area for work and stay in Norco. Black Horse was recommended to me by the front desk attendant at a nearby hotel. It is located in a strip mall at the corner of Second and Hamner. I have only come early evening in the middle of the week for dinner. Upon walking in, it is dimly lit with a very dark interior. My first impression is that it is frequented by locals. They have a decent happy hour with drink and appetizer specials. I tried the Southern fried chicken with garlic toast recommended by my waitress. There is a super crispy coating around the chicken. Has a delicious flavor. The whipped garlic mashed potatoes with country gravy are a good complement. The mixed veggies (squash, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) were cooked just the way I like them. Soft but not soggy. Dipped them in the gravy. Prices were reasonable. Cocktail got the Norco Mule with Makers Mark. I am not used to Makers but I wanted to try a speciality cocktail and woo, it is strong! It will put some hair on your chest. Barely tasted the ginger beer. After one pull, I had a warm tummy. I would not order it again but I didn't let it go to waste. My second drink I got a favorite Captain and Diet Coke. It is fairly intimate restaurant that guessing would sit 50-60 people. It was much quieter than I expected. People were talking but not loud. Country music played in the background. None of the seven televisions had the volume on. Upon my third visit, I saw they had a Touch Tunes jukebox so if you want to play your music, you are able to do so. I was controlling the music for a good thirty minutes. It was great. I just had to be aware of the young kids in the restaurant. I think I will be frequenting this place when I am in town for work.
